OSHA Hazcom Rule Review Extended:The OMB review period for the GHS Final Rule has been extended for 30 days. For more information: http://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/eAgendaViewRule?pubId=201104&RIN=1218-AC20 Regulatory Cooperation Council & Beyond the Border, Stakeholder Session, Mon., January 30, 2012OSHA has provided an invitation to alert OSHA stakeholders of the creation of a United States-Canada Regulatory Cooperation Council (RCC) and Beyond the Border (BTB) initiatives. GHS is part of one of the working groups under the joint action plan: Occupational Safety Issues: GHS of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (workplace hazards). On January 31st from 5 to 6 pm OSHA and Health Canada will be available to present the draft work plan to interested stakeholders and answer questions. Semi-Annual Regulatory Agenda Published January 20, 2012OSHA-SCHC Alliance RenewalWe are excited to announce that the OSHA-SCHC Alliance has been renewed. Dr. David Michaels, Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA and Suzanne Matuszewski, Society President, will sign the alliance on March 1, 2012 at a ceremony held at OSHA Headquarters in Washington, DC.
