Description and Objectives:

This workshop is designed to advance Hazard Communication leadership skills development and their practical application. Team leaders are frequently tasked with assessing problems and opportunities, defining needs and planning and implementing solutions. Leaders are often called upon to coach and mentor team members. Effective leaders are able to evaluate their performance and to determine how others view their performance. This workshop will focus on effective meetings, project planning and management, coaching and mentoring an self-assessment. Good leaders are always in demand and this workshop through lecture, discussion and interactive exercises will help provide participants with the skills critical to optimizing their leadership effectiveness - specifically in Hazard Communication, but also in the broader context of Product Stewardship.

The SCHC seminar, Leadership and Teamwork for Hazard Communication, is a recommended prerequisite for this workshop but it is not a requirement.

Intended Audience:

Hazard communication professionals looking to strengthen their leadership, teamwork and organizational alignment skills.

Director / Instructor

Robert Skoglund, Ph.D., DABT, CIH

Dr. Skoglund is the Director of Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs at Covestro LLC.  His responsibilities include compliance, safety, and stewardship - including hazard communication.




Mark Cohen

Mark has 30 year of environmental, health and safety experience in the fields of hazard communication and chemical regulatory management.  Having held global responsibilities for industrial & institutional products, and consumer products, (M)SDS systems and emergency services; Mark now provides hazard communication services for small and medium chemical manufacturers and distributors.
